Faithfulness We Can Run To- 08/30/2026
Sometime after beginning their first missionary journey, Saul (Paul), Barnabas, and John Mark carry on from Paphos, Cyprus, to Perga, where John Mark returns to Jerusalem. Then they carry on to Antioch in Pisidia. After the reading of the Law and the Prophets, Paul is invited to speak at a Synagogue, and he doesn’t miss a beat. When invited to say something encouraging to those gathered, he reminds them of their history, explains the truth of the Gospel, and ends with the declaration that Jesus is the Christ! Today we will look deeper into Paul’s sermon and find that his encouragement transcends generations-that David, a man who committed terrible and heinous sins, never stopped being a man after God’s own heart. Furthermore, we will explore what all of this means for us as 21st-century followers of Jesus, as God’s story continues through us.
