Four Truths and The Lie

Have you ever watched God work through someone else and felt something in you tighten instead of rejoice? You wanted to be glad, but another voice began to speak. It told you that God had passed you by. It reminded you of your past, your limits, your failures, and the places where you still feel unfinished. It made another person’s fruit feel like your loss. That voice sounds honest, but it is a lie. This passage calls us to bring that lie into the light. It shows us that God is not small, His grace is not scarce, and His work in one life does not cancel His work in another. So, listen for more than a story from long ago. Listen for the place where envy has made you suspicious of God’s goodness. Listen for the grace that calls you back to the work He has already placed in your hands. We feel God's love most when we step into our God-given assignment and allow those around us to do the same.
