The Righteous Remnant 2/15/2025

We grew up in a very different time in the church than today's church. We attended churches that were thriving and significantly impacting our communities. Jen was part of a youth group that was two to three times larger than our church today. Times have changed. While we can reminisce about the good old days, we must remember that this cycle has existed since the fall of man. People have followed God at certain times and rebelled at other times.

A year ago, Seattle was identified as the most unchurched city in the nation—a revelation that shocked some but was evident to others. Today, Paul reminds us of the ongoing cycle of surrender and rebellion. He reflects on several of these historical cycles and encourages the people to consider their responses. He reminds us that there are two types of remnant people, and ultimately, it is up to each of us to choose which group we identify with. When faith meets courage, we become a righteous remanent for Jesus.
