Search Party- 3/9/2025
The sermon challenges us to join God's search party for the lost. Romans 10:14-21 emphasizes our role in sharing the gospel. We're reminded that while salvation is simple, the human heart's journey to accept it can be complex. The parable of the Prodigal Son from Luke 15 is beautifully paralleled with God's relationship with Israel and, by extension, with us. This story illustrates God's unwavering love and patience, waiting for His children to return. We're encouraged to pray for the lost, not from a place of judgment, but from love and humility. The message urges us to overcome our fears and discomfort in sharing the gospel, reminding us that God doesn't expect perfection, but effort. As we reflect on this, we're prompted to consider: Are we standing with outstretched hands to the disobedient and stubborn, just as God does? This sermon challenges us to examine our hearts and actively participate in God's mission of reconciliation.
