Testimony of the Truth -2/26/2023

Last week, we were challenged by Mary's devotion to Jesus. She abandoned everything to be at the feet of Jesus, which was consistently her position. She learned at His feet (Lk. 10:39). She surrendered at His feet (Jn. 11:32), and she worshipped at His feet (Jn. 12:3). Transformation starts at the feet of Jesus, where we learn, surrender (repent), and worship. From this place, we saw Mary's testimony of who Jesus was in her life. Now, we are confronted by the testimony of Lazarus and Judas. Mary's devotion was a testimony of her belief in Jesus. Lazarus lounging at the table next to Jesus, testified to the power of resurrection, and Judas' greed and betrayal testified to his love of money. Testimony has a way of amplifying our heart's condition, and this exposure will cause many to surrender and believe, while others will make an active decision to harden their hearts and cultivate rebellion. Testimony is powerful, and it is formed through deep belief. It has the power to break down lies and defeat enemies. Revelation 12:10-11 demonstrates this well. "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God, day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death."
