Last week, Dylan delivered a message from Acts 5:1-11, recounting the story of Ananias and Sapphira, a couple who dared to introduce partial surrender and concealed hypocrisy in the midst of a Spirit-filled gathering. He reminded us how they conspired to deceive the Holy Spirit, and how the enemy found an open door in their hearts through dishonesty. Dylan’s challenge was clear: “Stop, assess, and correct.” When we allow sin to linger in the shadows, we build walls that block the life and power God longs to pour out. But when we choose faithfulness, staying responsive to the Spirit’s stirring, guarding our hearts, and walking in daily repentance, we unlock the true strength of godly community. Acts 5:12-16 shows us the remarkable aftermath of what occurs after holy fear grips the whole church. The movement of God does not simply continue; it erupts with unprecedented force and purpose.
