Charged By Men, Delivered By God- 03/29/2026

Imagine being arrested for doing exactly what God told you to do, then miraculously freed in the middle of the night, only to be arrested again the very next morning. That’s the raw tension we find in Acts 5. The early church is exploding with miracles, healings, and thousands of conversions. Yet real opposition is always waiting. The religious leaders aren’t inventing false charges. The apostles are openly defying their orders, filling Jerusalem with the message of Jesus, and even holding the leaders accountable for His death. Here is the question we are wrestling with today: When human authorities clash with God’s clear call, whose voice will we obey? This passage shows us three powerful truths: opposition is real when God’s work advances, God’s deliverance is purposeful even in the middle of trouble, and joyful obedience is possible even when it costs us dearly.
