The Path to Righteousness-3/11/2023

Mar 12, 2023

Jesus had just come down the Mount of Olives as the crowds shouted and praised Him, throwing their jackets on the ground and waving Palm Branches. He then went to the temple to look around (Mk 11:11). He was still in the temple courtyard when Philip and Andrew approached Him with the Greek's request to see Him. At this moment, we begin to see the anguish Jesus is experiencing. He begins to speak openly of His death. Jesus shares His fear and then turns His heart and words to the Lord. As He does this, the Lord responds by recognizing and confirming Jesus as His Son. Jesus set an example to us of how to be a Light in the darkness. He made a way for all of us to walk in the Light. Through His example, He demonstrated how we can set our minds on the things of the Spirit (Ro. 8:5), fight fear, and then respond to it. Doing just as Jesus did, we are able to remember God's purpose for our lives and return to His presence, allowing us to walk in the Light in dark places.
