The Disillusioned

Two disciples on the road to Emmaus walk in the wrong direction because of their disillusioned ideas about Jesus. How many of us have had a similar experience where all our illusions about Jesus are undone? We trusted Him to do a certain thing or work in a particular way and walked away with dismay over our perception of His failure. Then Jesus joined us on our journey and revealed that our ideas of failure were God’s greatest triumph. Let’s contend in prayer for the disillusioned who need Jesus to open their eyes and their hearts to Him again.
